Letter From Committee

Dear Members of the Class of 2010,

The tradition of the Senior Challenge was begun by members of the Class of 1986 to demonstrate their concern for future students by establishing a scholarship fund in their class’ name. The initial effort raised $16,000 in pledges which were presented to then SUNY Fredonia President Donald A. MacPhee, during their Commencement ceremonies.

Previously, Seniors were asked to pledge $100 in a plan where that dollar amount was paid off in increments over the next five years. This year, HOWEVER, the Seniors have decided to make the process more economical and are asking for $20.10 (representing your part as a member of the class of 2010) upfront. Where’s your money going? The Committee has identified a need to help fund a fountain to be placed on campus to leave our legacy. Please check out our website at www.fredoniaseniorchallenge.org. $20.10 is less than many of you drop downtown on a given Friday or Saturday night. Contributing to this year’s Senior Challenge will make you feel good about yourself.
If you have made your contribution by April 1, 2010, your name will appear in the Commencement program and you will be recognized at the Commencement ceremony.
Sincerely,

The Senior Challenge 2010 Committee
